Ice Zoo Hockey Club
Ice Zoo Hockey Club (IZHC) is a dynamic and growing club based at the Ice Zoo rink in Mascot, Sydney. Affiliated with Ice Hockey New South Wales (IHNSW), IZHC features a diverse range of teams for both juniors and seniors, competing in the main winter season:
- Ice Zoo Wolves: Junior teams ranging from 9U (Atom) to 17U (Midget), open to all genders
- Arctic Foxes: Women’s team (14 years and above)
- Wolves: Senior Division 1 team
- Pigeons: Senior Division 2 team
- Mighty Apes: Senior Division 3 team
- Danger Hippos: Senior Division 4 team
In addition to regular league play, IZHC participates in various tournaments across Australia, with many of our players selected for representative teams at national and world championships.
The club is committed to player development, offering opportunities for all skill levels. The Meerkats Program, held on Sunday mornings at Ice Zoo, provides an entry pathway for new players to learn the basics of ice hockey and develop their skills.
During the summer months, we run the Juicebox Leagues, a fun and inclusive competition open to all players statewide, regardless of club affiliation. The Juicebox Leagues feature multiple divisions, catering to everyone from players progressing from the Meerkats program to experienced adults looking for casual games.
At IZHC, we are always welcoming new players of all ages and skill levels. If you’re interested in joining or learning more, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
