Without Referees and Linespeople, we would not have a sport. Our officials are integral in providing a safe and fair competition.

REFEREE COURSES
Referee Level 1 – Sydney: Saturday 7 March 2026
Classroom – 9am-5pm Liverpool Catholic Club (TBC)
Referee Level 1 – Northern Region/Newcastle – Sunday 8 March 2026
Classroom – 9am-5pm (Club Macquarie at Argenton)
Referee Level 1 – Sydney – Saturday 21 March 2026.
Classroom – Saturday 9am-5pm (ACPE – Sydney Olympic Park)
Referee Level 1 – Sydney – Sunday 22 March 2026.
Classroom – Saturday 9am-5pm (ACPE – Sydney Olympic Park)
There will be online course work and exam in addition to the face-to-face course to finalise the accreditation. On ice will be separate and possibly have sessions early in the season.
If you attended a 2-day course last year, to reaccredit this year you will need to attend 1pm-5pm on one of the above days.
A reminder that Clubs are now responsible to ensure Referees are available to cover the games in womens and Senior Divisions. There is no longer a 5 Referee per team requirement, but Clubs are responsible for game coverage when the Referee Allocator cannot get Officials to cover the games.

IHNSW uses http://www.horizonwebref.com/ for allocations. The association number is #205341. Once you have completed your Referee course, please set up a horizon account and you can start putting in for games.
