Development
Ice Hockey is often referred to as the worlds fastest team sport. There are a number development programs for people learning to skate with most clubs and rinks offering Learn to Skate programs.
Competition
Ice Hockey NSW (IHNSW) provides competition and involvement for 6 to 60+ year olds. The Winter Season runs from March to September, with 11 grades of competition:
- Mites 7 & under
- 9U (Atoms) 8 – 9 year olds
- 11U (Squirts) 10 – 11 year olds
- 13U (Peewee) 12 – 13 year olds
- 15U (Bantam) 14 – 15 year olds
- 17U (Midget) 16 – 18 year olds
- Women 15 – open age females
- Senior Divisions 1 to 4 – Open Age 18+
- East Coast Super League – high performance open ages, male only

Registration
- Registration is club based. When registering to play in an IHNSW sanctioned league, you become a member of IHNSW and Ice Hockey Australia. Club registration sites
