2023 BROWN OPEN (17+) NSW STATE TEAM TRYOUTS

IHNSW 2023 JIM BROWN STATE TEAM TRYOUTS

TRYOUT 1 – Saturday 23rd September 2023 430pm HISS

TRYOUT 2 – Thursday 28th September 2023 845pm MAC

REGISTER HERE

All eligible Open age* players are invited to tryout for the IHNSW Brown team. Open to male players/goalies, and female goalies.

This team will compete in the 2023 Brown 9th to 12th November at HISS

Attendance at both tryouts is expected but not compulsory.

*Must be 17 years or older as of Dec 31 2023 to be eligible and have a valid ITC if required.

Players selected to the team must be available for all games and as such are not able to join the team part way through the tournament. Any players serving a suspension at any level will need approval from IHNSW.

Players must make every effort to attend all tryouts. Players who cannot attend any tryout (injury, living overseas, etc.) must register online and email an expression of interest with detailed explanation to the IHNSW office, including evidence of playing ability/letter of recommendation. IHNSW will keep a register of all players who have tried out, what try-outs they have been in attendance for, and what ones they only EOI’d for

IHNSW will provide selectors to evaluate and select players from the tryouts. Input may be sought from Club Team coaches but it is to your advantage to attend both tryouts. It is essential players wear a jersey with a number on it and preferably your name. You must wear the same jersey to both tryouts. The selectors will be identifying you by what you are wearing and it needs to correspond to the jersey listed.

Team members will be required to stay in team accommodation with Team Officials for the duration of the tournament. There will be charges to cover the tournament entry fees, accommodation, food, flights and bus hire. A detailed budget will be released to the team after selection. Players that are unavailable during the tryout period are asked to contact IHNSW directly
