The 15U (Bantam) Ice Hockey League is for players and goalies turning 14 or 15 in the year and is a contact grade. Both boys and girls participate in this competitive league, which encourages equal ice time for all players. However, stronger athletes may naturally receive more ice time, particularly on the first line or during power plays and penalty kills. The Bantam league is officiated under full checking rules. The primary focus of the check shall be to gain possession of the puck and officials should strictly penalise any illegal actions such as boarding, charging, cross checking, and a late body check to a player who is no longer in control of the puck.
Players in the 15U (Bantam) grade represent NSW at the Kurt De Fris National Championships.
Congratulations to the NorthRays, the 2024 grade champions, with the Emperors finishing as runners-up.
