eSafety and Coach Seminar
The Office of Sport is hosting an online seminar on 16 March 2026 (6 pm to 7:30 pm) to support coaches and sport administrators ahead of winter season.
Session highlights:
- Online safety in sport – Shannon Dixon, eSafety Commissioner
- Overview of online harms in sport, how to respond and where to find training and resources.
- Safeguarding young participants – Simon Woinarski, Office of Sport
- Introduction to three free Sport Integrity Australia courses on safeguarding, recruitment and screening, and safe coaching for young athletes.
- Youth athlete development and safe coaching – Dr Juanita Weissensteiner, Office of Sport
- Overview of talent pathway resources and the Safe and effective coaching of young athletes in high performance sport e‑learning course she helped develop.
