IHNSW Skills Clinic

IHNSW will be running 5 skills clinics throughout the winter season, with drills designed to suit players and goaltenders. Coaches from each club will be represented, and coach mentoring is also available. All sessions will be held at Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink, on the following Sunday mornings from 8:30-10:30am:

May 14th  – June 11th   – July 9th  – August 13th  – September 3rd

$200 for all 5 sessions OR $50 per session

All participants must be registered members of IHNSW to take part in these sessions.

Sunday 14th May – 1015am – Sydney Ice Arena

TRYOUT COST $60.00 Payable at your first tryout (Cheques not accepted)

All eligible Bantam aged players are invited to attend tryouts for the IHNSW Team to participate in the 2017 NSW De Fris National Championship, which will be held from 12th – 15th July – Melbourne VIC.

Attendance at 2 of 3 tryouts is expected. Any IHNSW registered players currently playing overseas must send a letter or expression of interest to

IHNSW will provide selectors to evaluate and select players from the tryouts. Input may be sought from Club Team coaches but it is to your advantage to attend all three tryouts. The $60 tryout fee is payable regardless of the number of tryouts you attend.

It is essential players wear your CLUB jersey or a jersey with your name and number on it and you must wear the same jersey to all three tryouts. The selectors will be identifying you by what you are wearing and it needs to correspond to the jersey listed.

All players attending tryouts are expected to have attended a Linesman course as per the State Representative rule. If you have attended a course at any time you are eligible to be selected, however if you have not attended a Linesman course you are able to complete the online exam but must achieve a pass mark of 70% http://www.iha.org.au/officiating-exam-nsw/ This must be completed before the final tryout, there are no exceptions to the rule.

Team members will be required to stay in team accommodation with Team Officials for the duration of the tournament. There will be charges to cover the tournament entry fees, accommodation, food, entertainment and bus hire. A detailed budget will be released to the team after selection.

Special Rules for Senior B

The following changes have been made to the Special Rules for Senior B:

  • Senior B division players are permitted to play a maximum of three (3) games and only one (1) game prior to 1 May in a full contact grade before becoming ineligible for Senior B division.  
  • Senior B division goalies are permitted to play a maximum of five (5) games and only two (2) games prior to 1 May in a full contact grade before becoming ineligible for Senior B division.
