It’s an open national coaching event for all 7 to 11-year-old players who are registered with Ice Hockey Australia.

The Jamboree is a 4-day event where the primary focus is on ensuring all players are provided with an opportunity to improve their playing skills and ice hockey knowledge in a non-competitive environment, play small area games to enhance their playing skills, meet new friends and most importantly have a “FUN” experience!

Who can attend the Jamboree?
Any IHA member player born (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) are eligible to attend the Jamboree. Players must be a current active registered member with IHA.

What happens at the Jamboree?
The players will be broken into two groups of players 10 and 11 years and the other 7, 8, 9 years

During their groups ice times Friday, Saturday and Sunday the players are broken into smaller groups of about 8-10 players, they rotate between coaching stations where they do coached Small Area Games. Monday there is a morning of cross ice hockey games which is a lot of fun to watch as it is intense.

It is a fantastic event for player development as well as for coaches to develop their skills.
