Level 2 Coaching Course

Ice Hockey NSW will be conducting a Level 2 Coaching Course.

This 2 day course will be held at Erina Ice Arena. This course will cover the classroom material over these two days, and in addition, there will be an session on-ice, 2 nights of online attendance and an exam to be submitted 

TO ATTEND: You must have held a current IHA Level 1 accreditation for a year

Instructor for the course is IHA and IHNSW Coaching Director Mark Stephenson

The schedule is as follows: 

Saturday 20th August – Classroom 9am to 3pn

Saturday 20th August – On Ice 3pm-5pm

Sunday 21st August – Classroom 9am to 5pm

TBC: Online sessions

Cost: $195 per person

Amazon League 2022 – Expression of Interest

IHNSW is seeking expressions of interest from players to participate in the 2nd year of the IHNSW Amazon Summer League.

We are building on the success of last year’s series we’re looking to run a 7 week program from Sunday 16 October through to Sunday 27 November 2022.

IHNSW welcomes all girls of this age to participate in this program to build a culture of development, community and friendship in a safe space within this sport. Best efforts are being made to accommodate players from Newcastle and Canberra with a games only option and a possible game in their location as we look to grow our league. 

We’re also looking to work together in some capacity with the Sirens and will ensure there are no training time clashes

Age group: Females born 2002-2007. Training spots available to 2008 born. 

Games: Yet to be confirmed, hoping for 45 minute run time games held on Saturdays and Sundays at COIR, HISS and one game in ACT.

Teams: 2 teams

When ice time is confirmed and costings finalised, registration will be posted

All NSW Public Health Orders in relation to Covid-19 will be followed, including the requirements for Vaccinations made by NSW Government and Rinks. IHNSW follows the principal of inclusivity with this league as it does for our Women’s leagues and AWIHL team.

All players must arrive 1 hour before to be ready for off-ice warm up and on ice drill preparation to training this Sunday. On ice is 815am-915am at Liverpool Catholic Club. atholic Club

1x Parent from all players must attended for uniform ordering as this must be submitted Monday.

Reserves are encouraged to train with the team and understand that they may be called upon to fulfil a roster position if required cost of $25 per training session.
