AJIHL Tryouts

AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE (AJIHL) TRYOUTS

Sunday 6th October – 4:15pm to 5:15pm – Penrith Ice Palace  $30

This season 6 teams will compete playing a minimum 15 games per team. NSW teams will travel to compete in addition to playing each other.  Most likely two road trips for every team and two interstate teams visiting, so each team will play all other teams 3 times in the regular season with the top 4 teams going to Melbourne in March 2020 for playoffs.

The league will cost approximately $2000 per player, after IHA subsidies. This includes all game expenses, training sessions, accommodation and transport. The competition is open to 2000 to 2003 male born players, with a limit of 4 x 1999 born male players per team.

We urge all eligible players to support the league to ensure that our Australian National teams continue to compete at the highest level.

Sydney Sirens – Head Coach and Team Manager

IHNSW is calling for nominations for Head Coach and Team Manager for the Sydney Sirens AWIHL Team. The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is a national league that provides the highest level of competition played regularly by our female competitors.

Sydney Sirens compete in the AWIHL over Summer, with training due to start early October with games beginning early November. Finals are in Melbourne late January-early February. Schedule still being finalised.

– your history and experience in Ice Hockey
– if applying to Coach your qualifications (minimum Level 1 IHA Coaching Accreditation)

There is a short turn around on this, please pass to all interested parties in your Clubs.

Beginners welcome to attend. Equipment will be supplied for “Come and Try” goalies

Cost – $250

Friday November 8th 
6:30pm-8:00pm – on ice only

Saturday November 9th
8:00am-9:30am – on ice
10am-2pm Classroom/Off Ice

Sunday November 10th
8:00am-9:30am – on ice
10am-2pm Classroom/Off Ice

Minimum age of 12 to attend

Coaches will include AWIHL Sydney Sirens Goalies
