Concussion In Sport Seminar

 

The Concussion in Sport seminar focuses on concussion injuries in sport and the management of return to play protocol. It will be presented by Dr Adrian Cohen who is a Concussion Researcher.

The seminar is FREE of charge and open to all sports and the wider community.

Topics include:

  • The definition of concussion
  • Common causes
  • Signs and symptoms
  • Assessment
  • Game day management
  • Specific sporting policies
  • Return to Play (RTP) guidelines

Heaton Trophy & Easter Challenge 2017

Heaton Trophy Announcement

It’s that time of the year again! Yes, its the Canterbury Ice Hockey Club’s annual Heaton Trophy & Easter Challenge tournaments. This year the Midget and Peewee Round Robin event will be held on Good Friday 14 April 2017.

Both events are sanctioned by IHNSW. Both tournaments are subject to all IHNSW rules and requirements. Atoms and Bantams can play up as long as the playing up forms are submitted along with player registrations.

REGISTRATION FEE: Your Registration Fee is $575.00 per team and covers all ice time & officials, as well as a BBQ lunch and drink for all players and team staff. To register your team, please deposit the Fee into CIHC’s bank account by no later than Friday 31 March 2017.

State Team Coaching Nominations

IHNSW is calling for nominations to Coach the NSW 2017 State Teams.

The coaching positions available are:

BANTAM: De Fris  – 12th to 15th July, Melbourne VIC

MIDGET: Tange – 29th June to 2nd July, Adelaide SA

Interested applicants must hold a minimum of Level 1 IHA Coaching Accreditation.
